Abstract

HSAs and HRAs help consumers and organizations manage healthcare costs in the shifting healthcare finance environment. Underutilizing these accounts may lower healthcare expenses and insurance efficiency. This data-driven study investigates the complex consequences of underused HRAs and HSAs on healthcare costs and insurance plan efficiency.
HRA and HSA consumer behavior is researched using a large demographic and healthcare spending dataset. Strategic account use affects healthcare costs. Previous study found that tax savings and flexibility helped HRA and HSA users save healthcare costs and make better financial choices.
